Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull any air
Plot
The men and women live in a giant silo underground with a few rules they believe were put in place to protect them from the toxic and broken world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "The Wave" – the book has 82 chapters. The floor fans in various episodes spin in the wrong direction when it comes to the orientation of the blades.
I just started watching this show
Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Should Be Watching (2023). Something stood out from the start. The sound of the actors’ voices is very clear. My compliments to the people with the sound, it’s a minor miracle.
Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics of the silo?
I often have a hard time hearing what actors say in shows and movies. But I don’t think so, I believe it’s due to the very good work done by the film’s sound people who recorded and edited the actors’ voices. It’s rare to hear the voices of actors with such delightful clarity. It’s almost like hearing the voices of actors in the theater, it’s so nice.
I really enjoyed it
I’m in a few episodes now and I’m enjoying the acting and the story. There are well-drawn characters and something is gradually unraveling in terms of the history and operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where this is all going yet, but it’s certainly keeping me engaged. I’ve already finished the first series.
There’s a significant element towards the end that is identical to a revelation that happens in a movie
To avoid spoilers, I won’t say the name of the movie, but I’m sure others know the one I’m referring to if they’ve seen it. This did not detract from my enjoyment of Silo, and in any case I am not sure who first came up with the idea, as I do not know when the book on which Silo is based was written.
