Condensing a hundred years of family and national history was an impossible task
His characters are portrayed so well that any screenwriter would have no problem writing them for the screen. But during the adaptation of the novel, the seemingly insoluble problem was the duration. Nearly 60 years after its publication, the novel has found a cinematic home on Netflix.
The plot unfolds smoothly, with richness and depth
Only streaming can tell, and the first two episodes are very promising. Great cinematography, art direction and respect for the characters. A recording is needed so that García Marquez’s wonderful prose can emerge from time to time.
