Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine. Ingrid became a writer of autofiction and Martha a war reporter, and life circumstances separated them. After years of no contact, they meet again in an extreme situation…
