A Montana ranching family is faced with others encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned hand in the Rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to “forget” his mountain accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses. I don’t think anyone does westerns better than Kevin Costner and with Taylor Sheridan writing it, it’s a win for the audience. Check out "Wind River" for an example of what Taylor Sheridan can do. Where has Cole Hauser been hiding? He’s amazing. I guess the daughter is a necessary part, but she’s over the top as a bitch. The scenery is fantastic and being from Colorado I can really appreciate the vast and beautiful land. Do yourself a favor and fall in love with this series because it’s going to be a winner.
