You don’t really get into his shoes
Plot
An anthology series about high-profile murders or murderers that captured the attention and notoriety of the public.. Evan Peters [Jeffrey Dahmer] says they had one rule, from Ryan Murphy [Creator] to follow throughout the series: that he would never be told from Dahmer’s point of view. "As an audience, you don’t really sympathize with him. You’re more like, you know, looking at him from the outside.".

In many episodes, there is a 3M Command(TM) tape displayed in the kitchen of Jeffery Dahmer’s apartment, the most recent of which takes place in 1991. 3M released its first wave of Command(TM) products in 1996. When I clicked to watch the release of “Dahmer” on Netflix, I thought it would be the first documentary about him. But what a surprise it was to see that it is actually a mini-series of the crimes that Dahmer committed.
The script is top notch!
And what a mini-series the acting is superb! The cinematography is some of the best I have seen in a true crime series about a serial killer! I am a huge fan of Mindhunter, the series about the origins of the FBI’s Behavioral Sciences Unit. And I have to admit that Dahmer fits perfectly into this type of show!
Netflix has really surprised me with this great show!
The series caught my eye from the first episode and has been a one-off since. I know there are many other films from “People’s Magazine” for example; which depict the crimes committed by notorious killers. But what Netflix has shown with Dahmer is a whole new level of implementation! The People’s Magazine films are just an hour of amateurishness compared to the Dahmer series.
It deserves a solid 9 stars!
And I don’t give a 9 star rating lightly!
